THIRD WEDNESDAY EACH MONTH. Wednesday, April 18, 7:00 – 8:30pm. A $5 or more donation is Encouraged & Appreciated.
Come share a story. We live our lives immersed in stories. We are storytelling creatures. Stories tell us who we are and how the world works. Storytelling is an art. An art that needs to be shared, a performance art. Stories are how we connect to one another, how we communicate. Whether you’re telling your story or listening to others’ it’s all about communicating and connecting. Tellers and listeners are welcome. Our intention is to maintain an uplifting environment supportive of tellers and listeners, who desire to learn, practice and enjoy the art and craft of storytelling. All stories are welcome. Old stories, new stories, folktales, myths, story-poems, sacred and profane stories, stories that are ‘true’ on the outside, or only on the inside.
Each person who wants to speak gets up to 10 minutes. A brief discussion will follow each story. Each week we’ll have a Featured Performer who goes on at 8:30 PM. E-mail us or come early and sign up for your ten minutes of spoken word (please no readings). First come, first served. The number of stories will be limited by time. And we will all live, happily ever after.
Your Host: Ron ‘Indy’ Amos
